An important part of tyre maintenance is ensuring that the wheels are correctly balanced. Wheel balancing is the process of balancing the weight of a tyre & wheel so that it travels evenly at high speeds. Wheels can lose balance over time through general usage. A common symptom of your wheel requiring balancing is vibration in the steering wheel between speeds of 50mph-80mph.
During the wheel balancing process, your wheels are removed from the car and placed on our fully automated state-of-the-art wheel balancing machine which measures how much weight needs to be added to each wheel. Once your wheels are balanced correctly you can have the peace of mind that tyres are safe on the road. Wheel balancing will also help prevent uneven tyre wear. All our fully inclusive fitted tyre prices include wheel balancing. If your tyres don’t need changing we also offer wheel balancing as a service on its own usually charged at £10 per wheel to balance.
TPMS is also known as Tyre Pressure Monitor system which monitors the air pressure inside your car's tyres. If your tyre pressure is low, the light will show up which is reset once the correct air pressure has been added. We also replace supply, fit & code TPMS sensors.
If your tyre has a small defect which can be easily repaired, we can do this for you at a fraction of the cost of having to replace the full tyre. Tyres can be professionally repaired across the tread of the tyre however defects on the side wall or close to the side wall cannot be repaired.
If you have unfortunately lost your locking wheel nut key, we can remove the locking wheel nuts and supply you with a new set of locking nuts.
You can have the convenience of having us come to you to fit your tyres wherever your vehicle may be. Our vans are fully equipped with tyre machines and tyres and allow us to come to you to fit tyres so give us a call to see if we can help
